Summer Reading

Summer Reading 2011

Books on the 2011 Summer Reading Lists are shelved in a special section of the NSTHS Library. Summer reading list books may be checked out for the summer and renewed, if necessary, in September. Ask the librarian for assistance in locating the books.

The following document contains Noblenet links to titles in our 2011 Summer Reading List. Noblenet is short for “North of Boston Library Exchange”. Noblenet is a database of library holdings (books, CD’s, DVD’s MP3, etc.) from 28 participating area libraries. Several of the communities that participate in Noblenet are also part of the NSTH sending districts. These include Beverly, Danvers, Gloucester, Lynnfield, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott.

If your local library does not have the Summer Reading Book (or any other book) you are looking for, they can request it for you from a participating library. In a couple of days it will be delivered to your local library where you can then pick it up and return it when you are done. Some of the titles are available in book form only, and others, as indicated, are available on either CD or Playaway (MP3). Many of the Summer Reading Books are available in Eaudiobook format which can be downloaded directly to your computer and even transferred to an Ipod.
