Instructors: Mr. Sommerville and Mr. Coye
This program covers a variety of subjects that are important to the designing and building of everything mechanical. Extensive standard manufacturing practices will be experienced. These skills are common in all countries where machines or other mechanical products are designed and manufactured.
This program exposes students to the multi-faceted field of manufacturing, machines, and tools. Students receive training on state-of-the-art software in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM); and participate in actual industrial jobs and teacher-assigned manufacturing projects which will include: machines, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining and a limited amount of welding.
Upon completion of this program, students will have acquired skills that are marketable at the world economy level.
