Students are reminded that they should have their school ID with them each day and MUST use their own school ID to obtain food in the cafeteria. If you need a temporary ID, please see Ms. Kelly or Ms. Kindler during your lunch period. If you have lost your ID, please purchase one from Ms. Kindler. Temporary IDs will ONLY be given during your lunch period. Temporary IDs will not be given before school or during shop break time. Detentions will not be issued for forgotten IDs; however, habitual offenders may be subject to consequences as per the Student Handbook.

The boys JV and varsity basketball teams will play Georgetown at home this evening; JV game is a 5:00 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 6:30 p.m. The varsity basketball team will compete in a tournament in Melrose during vacation. In the first round of the tournament they will play on Monday at 7:00 p.m. Depending on how they do Monday they will play on Tuesday in the consolation game at 5:00 p.m. OR in the championship game at 7:00 p.m.!

Calling all artists!!! The Recycled Art Show is coming up and artwork is being solicited for the show. You do NOT need to be a Design & Visual or Graphics student to participate. Anyone can submit recycled artwork. If you think you might be interested, see Ms. Williams or Ms. Bond in Design & Visual, Room 140 for more information! Anyone can be a recycle artist!

The boys JV and varsity basketball teams will play Rockport High School at home TODAY (February 14^th); JV game begins at 3:30 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 5:00 p.m.  The girls JV and varsity basketball teams will play at Rockport TODAY (February 14^th); JV game at 4:00 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 5:30 p.m.  Players are to be dismissed at 2:00 p.m.

Tomorrow (February 15^th) is an Early Release Day.  Students will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m.  We will have periods 2, 4, 6 and 8 tomorrow.

Tomorrow (February 15^th) is the first of two Freshman Career Exploration Days.  All Freshmen who have morning Exploratory tomorrow should report to the library immediately following homeroom at 8:00 a.m.  Freshmen who have afternoon Exploratory tomorrow should go directly to the library at 9:30 a.m. which will be the beginning of period 6.

There will be a mandatory SkillsUSA Officers meeting TODAY, February 13^th, after school in Design and Visual Communications.  Also, a reminder to students who are competing in SkillsUSA district competition, there are study sessions after school today, (February 13th), tomorrow, )February 14^th) and Thursday, February 16^th as well as after vacation on February 27^th and 28^th in Computer Lab, Room 137.  These study sessions will help prepare you for the competition!  Remember to bring your permission slip and medical form to your first study session and SELL YOUR CASH CALENDARS!

Student athletes who wish to ride the 5:00 p.m. late bus departing from Essex Aggie MUST sign up in the main office EACH morning before 9:00 a.m. in order to be eligible to ride the bus that day.

Governor Deval Patrick has dedicated tomorrow, Wednesday, January 25^th, as “NO NAME CALLING DAY” to promote Anti-Bullying Awareness. EVERYONE is asked to support this and sign our banner in the cafeteria and to wear black on that day.  Remember, Wednesday, January 25^th is “BLACK OUT BULLYING DAY” and Rachel’s Challenge Club is asking all of you to join with Governor Patrick and show your support.  Thank you for helping make North Shore Tech a school to be proud of.
