Design & Visual Communications
Instructor: Ms. Williams and Ms. Bond
The Design and Visual Communications program provides training to students in all aspects of digital and visual communications. Students will learn the basics of page layout and design, typography, digital photography, storyboarding, web design and animation. They will learn to take an idea from concept to preflight, and understand the principles of prepress and outsourcing.
Students have access to the latest industry standard Adobe and Macromedia software and develop practical skills that translate into a solid foundation for employment and higher education. They will not only develop techniques in marketing of products they create, they will learn to market themselves and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Graduates are able to find employment in advertising, desktop publishing, illustration, web design, animation, and other graphic related fields. Many Graphic Communication students enter college to further their education.
